Damn that’s ugly.

Nope, the Qashqai is replacing it in their line up.

Not according to Nissan. I was on the press launch for the Rogue Sport a couple months ago, and during a Q&A session, Nissan totally neglected to even acknowledge the Juke as part of its SUV/crossover lineup. When I asked why, the reps insisted that the two vehicles have such different target markets that the Juke didn’t even factor into the conversation.
I get your point, of course, but the response from Nissan was kind of funny in light of what we know now.

Only that it’s worse than the Juke in every way, no awd, no turbo, same platform and engine as the Versa, drum brakes in the rear and made in Mexico. Although it’s roomier and cheaper. Nissan currently has 3 cuv’s in the same segment, Kicks, Juke and Qashqai (Rogue Sport) and I don’t think they will change that because they all sell really well.

Anything is an upgrade from a Juke.

To be fair the Juke is quite a bit smaller than the Qashqai

How would that happen? Is the Qashqai going to shrink a segment? They’ve been available side by side, serving different market segments, for years . With the Juke being a subcompact and the cashcow the normal compact crossover.

It makes no sense have 2 similar vehicles in their line up. The Juke has never been a big seller, its numbers are pretty low.

in the line up against the cx-3 and HRV sure, but in spirit and styling this is the exact thing, only uglier and without AWD just like yours.

But in terms of pricing they are in the same segment, at least in some countries, if you want something sporty you get the Juke and if you want something practical, the Qashqai, and now they added the Kicks as the entry level crossover.

In North America, we used to have the Juke and Rogue/Xtrail but not the Qashqai.
We just started getting the Qashqai as the Rogue Sport, and the Juke was dropped. We may or may not also get the Kicks.
So effectively, in North America, the Rogue Sport a.k.a. Qashqai is taking over the smaller-than-Rogue/Xtrail spot.

The Juke is not a cash cow, it never got past 5000 sold units/month in Canadian sales.

Quiet.

At least the Juke was quirky. The Kicks looks just so soul crushingly bland like the other Nissans. A new headlight arrangement and grille for the Juke would’ve also worked imo.

Only if it changes a lot! The Cashcow is one size bigger.

Qashqai=cashcow. Not due to it sales numbers but due to its name. And looks.
